North Myrtle Beach is a thrill seeker’s paradise, with adventures on land, at sea, and in the air. These are for true thrill-seekers – leave the faint of heart on the beach and wave as you cruise away. Here are some must-try activities that’ll get your adrenaline pumping.

Parasailing Adventure

The higher the view, the bigger the thrill. In NMB, you can soak in the beauty of the Atlantic shoreline from above – all while your heart is pumping and your eyes are wide.

Soar above NMB on a parasail over the Atlantic Ocean. Book a parasailing adventure with local outfitters like New Wave Water Sports and Aloha Watersports. Enjoy the aerial views of the shoreline and perhaps spot a bottlenose dolphin as you take off from a boat and move along the coast. Every parasailing adventure starts with a banana boat ride to the parasail vessel. Once there, parasailers can ride in groups of two or three.

Choose your parasail partner(s) wisely. Be sure to book a reservation and bring a (well secured) camera to document the excursion yourself. But don't worry too much about photos since outfitters typically snap photos, available for purchase at the end of the ride.

Get Roped Into Fun

The action continues at – or slightly above – sea level.

Find countless thrilling watersports at Shark Wake Park inside the North Myrtle Beach Park and Sports Complex. Enjoy a family-friendly floating obstacle course featuring monkey bars and climbing towers. Plus, a cable park where you can go wake or kneeboarding, water skiing, and more.

Lulu’s in Barefoot Landing is more than a restaurant. The colorful hangout spot serving scratch-made seafood and comfort food features a beach volleyball court and a ropes course called Mountain of Youth, which hovers over LuLu’s beach area. You can purchase tickets inside LuLu’s Beach Arcade, where more fun and thrills await.

Then there’s the ultimate thrilling water adventure: jet skiing. Outfitters like East Coast Jet Ski Adventures and Myrtle Beach Watersports offer rentals and opportunities to spot dolphins and other wildlife. There’s nothing like riding the Intracoastal Waterway and Atlantic on a jet ski.

Surfing is an option in NMB, too. Popular surf spots include Cherry Grove, where the popular fishing pier resides. Need a board or a lesson? Kokopelli Surf Camp has everything you'll need to shred some waves.

For a thrilling angling excursion, join a North Myrtle Beach fishing charter and go on a deep-sea excursion. Or take your own boat or kayak and fish the waterways. Not much comes close to the thrill of seeing the reel tip bend and hearing the line whirl as you hook a big catch. Be sure to check out our tide charts before hitting the water.

Now get going! Your adrenaline’s not going to pump itself.
