North Myrtle Beach Events

Movies under the stars, free evening concerts, and A-list entertainers—there are always plenty of exciting events happening throughout North Myrtle Beach (NMB).

Make the most of your weekend in North Myrtle Beach with these exciting events.

Annual Festivities

Buy tickets and book a few nights while you catch some shows. The Alabama Theatre fills its calendar with original productions and popular touring casts. The Carolina Opry has a popular standing show and has been named the area’s top attraction by CNBC. Start a long weekend with a free summer concert. Music On Main is a concert series at the Main Street Horseshoe every Thursday in the summer. On the third Friday of the summer months, you can listen to the Sounds of Summer at the North Myrtle Beach Park & Sports Complex.

You don’t need to wait until the 4th of July for amazing fireworks. Broadway at the Beach puts on eye-popping displays every Tuesday and Friday, while Barefoot Landing lights up Monday nights through August.

Barefoot Landing is also home to SummerFest! Nightly entertainment including live music at the complex’s venues keeps your summer evenings toe-tapping and light.

Holiday Celebrations

Make NMB’s unique holiday traditions part of your family’s holiday traditions. From St. Patrick’s Day in March, Independence Day in July, a spectacular regatta along the Intracoastal, or light show at the North Myrtle Beach Park & Sports Complex around the winter holidays, we’re always in a mood to celebrate.

The Cherry Grove Pier puts on an amazing Fourth of July fireworks display, and the rest of the year is fun too. There is always dancing, amazing food and great fishing to be had. A day at the pier is an event unto itself.

Regular Happenings

Check out family classics on the second Friday from June thru October with Movies @ McLean. You bring a blanket and beach chairs. Popcorn and soda are available at the concession stand. Movies typically start around sundown.

Have a fresh Friday by checking out the NMB Farmers Market. From 10 am-3 pm every Friday, May thru October,  you can meet local growers and artisans selling their produce, baked goods, and more.

Tens of thousands of people pack in for our most popular events, and even on slower weeks, the best places to stay in NMB fill up fast. Luckily, there are plenty of accommodations to choose from to fit big families, corporate gatherings, or solo travelers out to explore on their own.
