Cherry Grove

Cast a line off the pier while listening to the waves below, saddle up and explore on horseback, and refresh yourself with some southern-style seafood. Nestled on the northern end of North Myrtle Beach (NMB), Cherry Grove is a world away from average.

Fun In The Sun

The centerpiece of all the action is the Cherry Grove Pier, known as the best fishing on the Carolina coast. Stretching out 985 feet over the Atlantic Ocean, you can bring your own gear or rent some on the spot. Several fishing records were set here including the world's largest tiger shark. But records were made to be broken, and you could be the person to break one.

Inlet Point Plantation Stables isn’t horsing around when it comes to making memories … wait, yes they are! Mount a magnificent steed and explore like the residents of the 19th century. Tours include a ride along the beach and special excursions at sunset. Short pony rides are also available for the kids.

Get off the beach and get on the water. Shops staffed by knowledgeable locals can get you geared up and point you in the right direction to have experiences you’ll be talking about for years. Great Escape Kayak Expeditions gives you a unique view of NMB’s sea life, while Myrtle Beach Watersports and Aloha Water Sports offer everything from jet ski rentals to parasailing adventures.

Let’s Eat

If you’re looking for a nice, sit-down meal with a sweeping ocean view or just want to grab a quick snack and a drink while you chill on the pier, there are plenty of choices in Cherry Grove and nearly all feature seafood dishes NMB is famous for.
