North Myrtle Beach Nightlife

When the sun goes down on North Myrtle Beach, the ocean isn’t the only thing making waves. NMB’s nightlife comes alive as soon as the sun lowers on the horizon and whatever type of fun you’re looking for, you’ll find it here. You can take in a show after dinner, maintain a laid-back vibe with some live music and a beer, or let loose at a high-energy nightclub.

Dinner and a Show

One night it could be a well-known comedian, another night a famous singer or band, while another night could have a guy juggling buzzsaw blades on stage. The Alabama Theatre brings a variety of live entertainment through its doors. Also check out One The Show, constantly called the best show in town. Over at House of Blues, acts as famous as the iconic venue itself are always jamming through. But this location is more than just amazing music. there’s murder in the air! Murder Mystery Dinner Theater is an interactive comedy show that lets you play along. Solve the crime, and you may be rewarded.

The rainbows in NMB end with something better than a pot of gold -- authentic Irish entertainment. Have the staff at Flynn’s Irish Tavern pour you a pint while you enjoy live music every Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. Over at Molly Darcy’s, they’re serving up classic cocktails in an Irish atmosphere with live music several nights of the week.

Drinking Games

You can rack ‘em up or knock ‘em down at 810 Billiards & Bowling. Located just a few blocks from the beach, this place has your favorite games, perfect for spending a couple of hours or an entire evening. In addition to bowling and pool, there is foosball, ping pong, darts, and more. You can order a drink while you gather around a table with old friends (or new friends you just met) and play board games for free.

Lulu’s likes to get things started early, bringing out live musicians just in time for happy hour. You can also take your drink and head over to the arcade to play some of your favorite video games and grab a selfie in front of their iconic VW bus.

Dance the Night Away

If you’re looking to dance the night away, our nightclubs can’t be beaten. Spanish Galleon is a high-energy spot located inside the Ocean Drive Beach & Golf Resort. The party here is legendary and it’s one of the most popular spots on the North Strand. If you want something a little more laid back, check out Duck’s. A local and shaggers favorite, they host retro nights and musical acts performing the hits you love.

The southern hospitality of NMB extends well into the night at our favorite bars and restaurants, where the only thing (possibly) better than the food is the entertainment. Captain Archie’s gets their party started early with musicians often taking the stage around six. If you want to be part of the entertainment, check their website to see when they’re having their next karaoke night.
