North Myrtle Beach Live Music

North Myrtle Beach Live Entertainment

Here in North Myrtle Beach, live music and entertainment have always been a big part of our culture. We like to keep to our southern roots and dance the Shag when we can, especially when there is live music! Below is a list of fun, music-filled activates for you to enjoy with your friends, family and whoever may be along for the ride! From the Alabama Theatre and House of Blues to local bars, you are bound to find some great live music in North Myrtle Beach!

Country music stars Alabama, decided to return to where they perfected their harmonies and opened the Alabama Theatre in 1993. Located in Barefoot Landing, Alabama Theatre is home to ONE The Show, which features “everything from Country, Gospel, Broadway, Pop and Rock to plenty of hilarious family comedy.” The Alabama Theatre also hosts stars like Martina McBride, LeAnn Rimes, and Josh Turner in North Myrtle Beach, so check their calendar for details!

The House of Blues Myrtle Beach is actually right here in North Myrtle Beach at Barefoot Landing. Fun Fact: Each House of Blues stage houses a metal box filled with Delta Mississippi mud under the stage so that performers have “the Spirit of the south planted beneath their feet.”

North Myrtle Beach Live MusicAwarded the “Most Outstanding Attraction in South Carolina” by the South Carolina Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism, the Carolina Opry is one of Myrtle Beach’s most famous attractions. Originally a one show venue, the Carolina Opry has expanded to bring a variety of shows each month to North Myrtle Beach including exclusive Carolina Opry performances complete with guest stars; dance performances; magic shows; special holiday-themed performances and more.

Want even more live shows and entertainment? Check out Legends in Concert or The Palace Theater, both great places to watch cover bands. If dinner and a show is what you are looking for, look no further than Pirate’s Voyage or Medieval Times in nearby Myrtle Beach.

If you’re looking for a night out featuring local bands and free shagging lessons, Fat Harold’s, Pirates Cove, the OD Pavilion, and Duck’s Beach Club on Main Street Ocean Drive will make any night memorable for visitors and locals (including SOS or “Society of Stranders” members) who like to hear great live music and dance the night away.

North Myrtle Beach also has free concerts all summer long, like the Sounds of Summer Concert Series and the Music on Main Concert Series. Of course our summer of music kicks off with the annual Mayfest on Main on Saturday, May 6th! All three are free concerts – just bring your beach chair and enjoy the show!
