No matter when you visit, North Myrtle Beach offers year-round events, from dazzling holiday celebrations to free concerts, so you can easily plan your trip around fun-filled music, lights, and memorable experiences.
Spring
At the St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Festival, hundreds of floats and golf carts decked out in traditional Irish regalia cruise down the street before the festival kicks off, where your Irish eyes will be smiling as you sip a Guinness and enjoy a corned beef sandwich. Everyone is Irish for a day as we celebrate the culture and the arrival of spring, usually with a party held the Saturday before March 17.
Summer
The Music on Main Concert Series offers an easy-breezy way to spend a summer evening with the road blocked off for top local talent, while the Sounds of Summer Concert Series brings live music to the North Myrtle Beach Park & Sports Complex the third Friday of every month.
The Fourth of July in NMB is a day-long celebration that kicks off with the annual Red, White, and Blue 5K at Barefoot Landing, continues with the Salute from the Shore military flyover at the beach, and ends with spectacular fireworks lighting up the night.
Fall
Street performers and local dance troupes celebrate both heritages at the Irish-Italian International Festival, where you can carbo-load in the spaghetti eating competition and sample dishes from restaurants competing for titles like Best Entrée and Best Dessert.
Winter
The Intracoastal Christmas Regatta, held the Saturday after Thanksgiving, features boats decked out in dazzling lights, each more imaginative than the last. The event is free to watch from the shore, but spectators are encouraged to bring a toy to help ensure every local child has a merry Christmas.
The 1.5-mile drive-thru Great Christmas Light Show at the North Myrtle Beach Park & Sports Complex features more than two million lights across hundreds of displays, and after the ride, you can explore Santa’s Village with the Santa Express Train Ride, the Chris-maze, and festive treats like hot chocolate and s'mores.
