When much of America is shoveling snow and scraping ice off the windshield, North Myrtle Beach is manicuring its greens and raking the sand traps in preparation for the spring golf season, which is currently underway. Though, the sport is a year-round NMB pastime.

Found along the northern end of the Grand Strand, our pro golf courses, from public to semi-private, help you get your swing back early, so you’ll be at the top of your game in no time.

Tee Up at a Legendary Golf Resort

Four championship golf courses designed and named after golf legends and architects offer an unforgettable experience in a picturesque resort setting.

Barefoot Resort & Golf is home to all four stunning courses. Norman (designed by Greg Norman) resides along the Intracoastal Waterway, Love (Davis Love III) features broad fairways, and Dye (Pete Dye) is the only semi-private course on the property. All are Par 72 courses. The fourth and final course at Barefoot, Fazio (Tom Fazio), is a Par 71.

The Norman course is perfect for aggressive players like the golf legend himself. While the native vegetation works to frame each hole, bunkers feature sloping white faces. The design of the course reflects Norman’s love of bump and run shots.

Like the Norman course, Fazio and Love’s courses are also filled with local flavor, incorporating native grass and plants. The natural elevation changes on the Fazio course add extra excitement and challenges.

Barefoot offers seasonal specials and packages, including the Barefoot Experience, which includes four rounds of golf, three nights at the world-class resort, and other perks so you can stay and play.

Stay & Play

When you stay at a condo on the beach or a luxurious resort, you’re never far from NMB’s other top-notch golf courses.

Surf Golf and Beach Club has a Par 72 course designed by George Cobb and is perfect for pros and newbies. Crown Park Golf Club runs through a pine forest and is a dream for shot makers. Azalea Sands Golf Club by Gene Hamm features an open layout and  accommodates players of all skill sets. Gene Hamm also designed Eagle Nest Golf Club, the longest golf course in South Carolina, measuring 8,000 yards.

Many area golf courses feature driving ranges, short game areas, putting and practice greens, restaurants, and pro shops.

Putt’ering Around

As unforgettable as our pro-level golf courses are, they don’t have man-made volcanoes, waterfalls, and dinosaurs, if that’s more your speed. Find fun décor, hilly terrain, and moving obstacles at area mini-golf courses perfect for the entire family.

Professor Hacker has three mini-golf courses in NMB –  Dinosaur Adventure, Lost Treasure Golf, and Mayday Golf – all three feature themed courses for every skill level. The 18-hole Hawaiian Rumble Mini Golf course revolves around a giant volcano… we know you’re gonna lava it!

It doesn’t matter if you’re putting alongside a T. Rex or playing the courses designed by the legends of the game, NMB’s golf courses are ready to help you get into the swing of things.
