Great Escapes Kayak Expeditions: With locations across the Grand Strand, you can book a paddle boarding or kayaking trip on Waites Island, the Waccamaw River, and the Cherry Grove Marsh. 

Trailblaze Adventures: At Traiblaze Adventures, you can explore the untouched landscape of Waites Island on a guided paddle board or kayak tour.

For paddle boarders who already have boards and equipment, there are several spots around town to launch:  

The Cherry Grove neighborhood is home to the Cherry Grove Fishing Pier and one of the best beaches in America, according to the readers of USA Today. It’s also home to the Cherry Grove Park and Boat Ramp.  Aside from a place to drop in the water, you can also access the Pier and the Heritage Shores Nature Preserve

Nature enthusiasts should check out the Waccamaw River Blue Trail! This black water ecosystem is home to 16 public launch points.
