North Myrtle Beach Area Historical Museum
Our community has a distinct legacy.
The North Myrtle Beach area has a significant history that began more than 10,000 years ago when Native Americans lived on the bounties of the environment.
Today we are a caring community of people who work, worship, attend school, play sports, tend gardens, weather storms, rebuild businesses, and welcome thousands of annual visitors who enjoy the region we call HOME.
The Museum shares the history of the northeast region of coastal South Carolina--from the SC/NC line, south to Barefoot Resort, and west to Longs. Each community has its history and the Museum continues to gather information on the towns, crossroads, and neighborhoods that make this 'area' of South Carolina such a great place to live!
