Labor Day doesn’t have to mean the end of summer in North Myrtle Beach, but it does mean a long weekend to soak up the sun, find more fun, and explore. So don’t pack away those white pants quite yet. We’ve rounded up some of the best Labor Day events and things to do this year in North Myrtle Beach.

Spend Some Time on the Beach

In true Labor Day style, you’ll want to plan to spend a day, or three, on the beach! Booking an oceanfront accommodation makes your commute as breezy as our beaches. Or if you choose a vacation rental property slightly off the shoreline, plan to rent a golf cart to make your trips around town more fun. For your beach gear, we’ve got a packing list ready for you so you wont miss any of the fun in the sun essentials.

Fireworks and Fun at Barefoot Landing

Join the celebration at Barefoot Landing all Labor Day Weekend from 7-10pm. Free live entertainment on the Pepsi Stage, strolling characters, and a firework show on Saturday, September 3rd at 10pm to end the summer with a bang!

Island Fever Music & Wine Fest

Enjoy an afternoon outdoors with an island vibe. La Belle Amie Vineyards will be hosting the Island Fever Music and Wine Festival on Saturday September 3rd. The event will feature music from two bands, your favorite La Belle Amie wines, beverages, and festival foods to enjoy on their shaded vineyards. The vineyard will open at 10am and sounds of the island will start at 12pm.

Make a Splash

From a kicked-back kayak adventure to a heart pounding ride on a jet-ski or high-speed jet boat, there are plenty of ways to get out on the water in North Myrtle Beach.  Soak up the summer sun from the deck of an off-shore fishing boat where you can cast a line and catch dinner. The warm September waters are prime for King Mackerel, Redfish and Flounder. Take your Labor Day Getaway to new heights with a banana boat ride to your parasailing excursion just off the beach!

Go on a Shopping Spree

Be sure to carve out some time to go shopping in North Myrtle Beach this Labor Day Weekend. From our Main Street boutiques to national retailers at Tanger Outlets, you’re sure to find end of summer sales and fresh fall fashions to freshen up your wardrobe. Is it too early to talk about the holidays? Never! Get a head start on your Christmas shopping at Callahan’s or the Christmas Mouse.
