Labor Day doesn’t have to mean the end of summer in North Myrtle Beach, but it does mean a long weekend to soak up the sun, find more fun, and explore. Whether you prefer soaking up the sun on our sandy beaches or you live for live music and performances, NMB has it all this Labor Day weekend.

Here’s everything you need to know to celebrate your hard-earned long weekend in North Myrtle Beach this year.

Keeping it beachy

Kick back and relax with friends and family by throwing your own classic Labor Day beach bash. Arrive in style by renting a golf cart, or keep your fun in the sun essentials close by staying in our luxury oceanfront condos and hotels.

If you’re seeking thrills on the high seas this weekend, challenge yourself with the inflatable Obstacle Island or state-of-the-art Cable Park at Shark Wake Park. Open to all ages and skill levels, Shark Wake Park is an adventure for the whole family this Labor Day.

Get in tune

Brush off the sand and take a stroll down Main Street to the sound of talented local artists in the Music on Main concert series. On August 31 and September 7, Music on Main will feature local bands and artists on Ocean Boulevard. Shop, dine, and dance away the summertime sadness to the sound of home-grown music downtown.

Or turn back the clock and rock out to some of the best music of the 60s, 70s, and 80s at the Carolina Opry’s Time Warp. With Time Warp, no two seasons are the same. For more show tunes, head over to the Alabama Theatre for their new production of “Iconic.”  The grand performance also features side-splitting comedy acts. Enjoy simpler times with a show like no other this Labor Day weekend.

Still can’t get enough tunes? With so many different venues, bars, and restaurants, live music is never too far away in North Myrtle Beach.

End with a bang

End your summer with a bang with Barefoot Landing’s Labor Day firework show. On Saturday, September 2, witness an incredible display of glittering fireworks at 10 p.m. sharp. Arrive early for the best seats and outstanding performances on the Pepsi Stage from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Get the opportunity to explore your favorite shops, munch on your favorite snacks, and meet with some of your favorite characters and stiltwalkers. Make it a whole night by enjoying dinner or drinks at one of Barefoot Landing’s many bars or restaurants.

Relax and refreshments

Take the time to enjoy the finer things in life this Labor Day with Duplin Winery. Sip cool and sweet Muscadine wine and nibble on the gourmet dip and fudge while listening to live local music.

Escape your busy life with one of Crooked Hammock’s backyard brews. Take a breath and a break in their beer backyard, which is complete with games and hammocks. Make sure to swing by their island bar to melt your troubles away.
