Everything you love about North Myrtle Beach is even better in the fall! With our beautiful, wide beaches, warm weather, and Southern hospitality, a trip to North Myrtle Beach is the getaway you’ve been dreaming about. Let your vacation season linger a little longer into the fall this year!

We’ve made vacation planning easy with a four day fun fall itinerary. All that's left to do is pack your bags!

The time has finally come: your out-of-office message has been set and you’re on your way to the beach. Start your coastal trip right by diving right in—literally; learn to ride the waves! In a group surf lesson from Kokopelli Surf Camp, you’ll learn from the pros in a small setting (there’s a 3:1 student to teacher ratio) on some of the latest surfing equipment. With the experts at Kokopelli, you’re sure to be a surf pro before you know it!

LOOK OUT FOR LUNCH

Spending the morning in the surf is a great way to work up an appetite. And Kokopelli offers classes near the Cherry Grove Pier, one of the most picturesque spots in town and home to an oceanfront restaurant, the Boardwalk Beach Café. Sit down, relax, order a cold drink and enjoy the ocean breeze while you await your feast. The Café serves up juicy burgers, seafood baskets and famous hot wings every day of the week.

CRUISE TO OPEN-AIR FARE

It’s your first night of vacation—we know you’re excited to head out and enjoy an incredible restaurant. Start by your evening traveling like a local by taking a golf cart. In fact, North Myrtle Beach is such a hub for golf carts, our community actually helped popularize the trend of using them for leisure off the course. On a golf cart cruise, your crew can take in the sights of the town and soak in some fresh air.

If you are looking for a great view with a great menu, Boardwalk Billy's is a must-visit.  They are located on the Doc Holidays Marina overlooking the beautiful Intracoastal Waterway.  Enjoy casual dining with a view you cannot beat, whether you choose to dine in the cozy dining room or outside on the spacious deck.

With miles of coastline, piers and docks galore, and plenty of balconies to watch from, North Myrtle Beach is the ideal spot to enjoy a sun rise. Getting up early will help you feel productive throughout the day, and the sunrise over the water creates a painted sky you won’t soon forget. For the perfect playlist to listen to from sunrise to sunset, check out the ‘We Love Beach Music’ playlist we made just for North Myrtle Beach! It’s just the thing for relaxing with a cup of coffee, taking in the sights, or dancing the Carolina Shag

THROW IT IN THE BAG

Since you got up early, make the most of the day by treating yourself  to a shopping spree! North Myrtle Beach has several pockets of retail heaven for you to find exactly what you’re looking for…and everything you didn’t know you needed.

Browse local gems and national chains while walking through the 40+ stores along the waterway at Barefoot Landing. Stop for a sweet treat during a trip to the Coastal North Town Center. For an option closer to the beach, peruse the gift shops and boutiques along Main Street.

While visiting local shops, stores, and boutiques, don’t forget that a secure face covering is required inside these public spaces.

VIEW FROM THE TOP

Make a memory that will last forever by soaring 500 feet above the coastline! Parasailing offers adventure, excitement and the best view of the Grand Strand you could imagine. There are several options to book a high-flying parasailing adventure in North Myrtle Beach. Seasonal hours vary in the fall, so be sure to check with your favorite flyers before you head to the beach.

No matter which you choose, ask about the professional photography options available so you can take home photos of you and your friends gliding through the air.

COMEDIC RELIEF

There are tons of places in North Myrtle Beach to catch dinner and a show, and while you can immerse yourself in everything from mystery dramas and live bands to dance troupes and unforgettable singers, really embrace vacation mode by loosening up at a comedy show.

The Comedy Cabana has been entertaining locals and visitors alike for more than 24 years and is currently the only 5-star comedy club in town. Here, the laughs never run dry: this intimate venue features three new professional artists every week. Check out their website to see who’s on the mic during your vacation.

As for the menu: it’s full of crowd-pleasers, too. Choose a huge salad, loaded nachos, delicious flatbread pizzas and mouth-watering desserts.

Find an action-packed adventure you might not have known existed at Shark Wake Park. At this watersport haven, novice to expert wakeboarders are pulled by a cable, not a boat. It’s a great (and safe!) way to learn how to wakeboard, and more advanced riders can tackle more challenging obstacles, like ramps and jumps.

For those who prefer dry land, there’s an expansive open-air deck where you can hang out, grab a snack or beverage and cheer on the riders. Before you go, make sure to check out their seasonal hours of operation.

IN THE BOARD ROOM

For an afternoon with waterfront views at a bit of slower pace, try kayaking! From the marsh, to the waterways, to the inlets,  North Myrtle Beach are perfect settings for you to soak in epic views while being able to spread out.

Plenty of friendly, local companies have different tours that lead you through the salt marshes, inlets or out onto the ocean. Depending on the tour and company you choose, you’ll learn about local wildlife, paddle past uninhabited islands, or watch the sunset from the water.  When the days start getting cooler, some outfitters will adjust their hours of operation, so be sure to check their tour schedules in advance.

ON THE ROCKS

One of North Myrtle Beach’s newest attractions is bottling up local drinks with Carolina flair. Twelve 33 Distillery creates handcrafted, premium spirits made with local grains. This farm-to-glass approach has allowed Twelve 33 to create a line of spirits produced entirely from Carolina-grown ingredients.

Spice up happy hour with their signature 3 Pepper Vodka or try it all with a tour, tasting and cocktail flight (yes, cocktail flight) in their beautiful new facility.

OUT ON THE TOWN

With an Insta-worthy outfit secured on your shopping trip the day before, you’ll be ready to enjoy a night out on the town. Start the evening at Pirate’s Cove Bar & Grill, located right on our charming Main Street and just steps from the beach. Not only does this local favorite have one of the area’s only rooftop eateries, they frequently host live music acts, so call ahead or stop by to see their lineup while you’re in town. Be sure to plan ahead—with restaurants limiting capacity, it’s a great idea to make reservations or have backup options in mind!

Many people enjoyed reconnecting with the natural beauty of the great outdoors when so many indoor places were closed. Keep that connection going and get in a morning workout along the shore!

The sand of the beach provides a great run with a low-impact surface. If running isn’t for you, opt for a relaxing yoga flow or a high-intensity interval session. No matter your preference, spending your final morning outside is a great way to stretch your legs before the journey home.

BOTTOMLESS BRUNCH

Brunch—America’s favorite sweet and savory combo meal. The list of places to grab brunch in North Myrtle Beach is nearly bottomless.

A notable highlight is Blueberry’s Grill, located in Barefoot Landing. Here, breakfast is served all day, every day, so you’re never limited to brunching only on weekends. Some of their specialties include steak and eggs, chicken and waffles, a Monte Cristo with homemade blueberry sauce, and four flavors of French toast. Whatever you do, don’t leave without trying a house-made blueberry muffin grilled on the flat top.

Also embracing the go-with-the-flow lifestyle of North Myrtle Beach, Eggs Up Grill serves up signature omelets, home fry bowls, and lighter fare like a fresh fruit and yogurt parfaits all day. They know what’s up at Eggs Up!
