Tasked with stewarding the annual board nomination and election process, the committee ensures that our governance remains accountable, inclusive, and aligned with the interests of the business community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and vet qualified candidates who reflect the diverse industries, perspectives, and talents within the North Myrtle Beach business community.
- Oversee the annual election process, where dues-paying investors/partners elect board members to serve as trusted stewards of the organization.
- Maintain transparency and fairness throughout the nomination and voting process.
- Support long-term board development by fostering a pipeline of future leaders committed to Destination NMB’s mission.
Elected board members serve three-year terms and may serve up to two consecutive terms, helping ensure continuity and fresh perspectives within our self-governing structure.
