The National Shag Dance Competition takes place in North Myrtle Beach every year. Since 1984, this highly anticipated event welcomes spectators to watch the best contestants compete each March so you can keep coming back year after year.

Enjoy beautiful weather and a festive environment during the annual Spring Safari, April 24th - May 4th, with fun events and music along Ocean Blvd. and Main St. Celebrate with the Society of Stranders (SOS) during the 34th anniversary of the largest junior dance event in the world at the Junior SOS June 7th at Fat Harold's Beach Club. Later in the fall, September 11th - 21st, join thousands as they flock to NMB for the SOS Fall Migration to listen to live music at Fat Harold’s Beach Club and Galleon while dancing the day away. The Mid-Winter workshop welcomes dancers to improve their steps every January.
