Day 1: Dine Like a Local

For your first day, we dive right into all the local favorites, so try to blend in. Start with breakfast at Dino's, where you should order the peach flip pancakes or French toast. If you prefer something savory, try the crab cake benedict before grabbing your fishing pole and casting a line from a local pier.

Just in case you don’t catch anything great, make plans for lunch at World Famous Flounders Fish House, home to ‘old beach house’ ambiance and flounder and grits so delicious you may want to come back for dinner. After lunch, tour Main Street Ocean Drive between Ocean Drive and Highway 17, only 20 feet from the beach for some great souvenirs and charming Main Street boutiques. Serious shoppers can find additional shopping at Barefoot Landing, Tanger Outlets and Coastal North Town Center.

When dinnertime arrives, visit the "Raccoon Cove Deck Bar" at Joe's Bar and Grill, where stunning sunsets illuminate the salt marshes. Enjoy a cocktail, pet the yellow lab that calls the back porch home, and order a premium beef or seafood entree. When you’ve had your fill, head across the street to The Deck at House of Blues, where you can drink a beer and enjoy live music.

Day 2: Fine Dining

On your second day, treat yourself to North Myrtle Beach’s finest dining. While Southern Sunrise is a very informal breakfast spot, it does offer breakfast delicacies for every palate, like the eggs benedict with smoked salmon. After breakfast, take in the local history with a morning visit to North Myrtle Beach Area Historical Museum or the Museum of Coastal Carolina.

For lunch, try Midtown Bistro, which serves a unique twist on traditional bistro dishes. Dine on a plate of fettuccine Alfredo and share a side of fried green tomato flatbread. After you’re done indulging at Midtown, continue to spoil yourself with an afternoon at Touch MedSpa. You can schedule a hydrating facial or the Signature Massage, complete with hot aromatherapy towels.

Have dinner at one of North Myrtle Beach’s upscale favorites, 21 Main. Here you’ll find the best sushi on the Grand Stand. If you’re more of a steak fan, order the premium steaks with the add-on sauces. Other favorites for a fancy dinner are Greg Norman's Austraillian Grille and Filet's

End your night with at the Alabama Theatre, which is home to ONE The Show, featuring every genre of music and hilarious comedy. For live music and events happening all year long, be sure to check the events calendar, because North Myrtle Beach also has free concerts (The Sounds of Summer Concert Series and Music on Main are two of our favorites).

Get up early, set the coffee pot to brew, and grab half a dozen sticky buns or Crumb Buns from Crumb Buns Bakery. Not only does Captain Archie’s have a great selection of cold beer, but also one of the best views of North Myrtle Beach’s inlets.

At dusk, head back to Main Street Ocean Drive and go to the OD Pavilion, an iconic open-air dancing pavilion right near the water. You’ll work up an appetite listening to beach music and dancing the Carolina ‘shag,’ so after, go get in line at Senor Willie's for a late-night burrito.
