Music on Main 2015 Concert Series

Thursday nights in the summertime are meant for dancing in the streets of North Myrtle Beach at the "Music on Main" Summer Concert Series. Alternately held on stages at the Horseshoe on Ocean Drive and on Main Street, these free concerts feature a wide selection of music.

Bring a beach chair or a blanket and have a seat in front of the main stage, or stay on your feet and dance to the beats of beach music, classic rock, R&B, Motown and more. Music on Main attracts some of the top musical acts from the area and region to entertain music lovers.

The 2015 lineup kicks off May 14 with classic-rockers Revival, followed by the Carolina Breakers (May 21) bringing beach music to the birthplace of the shag. Pop band CC & Company (May 28) closes out the month, with the concert series continuing weekly through October.

June's schedule includes Midnight Alley (June 4), The Wannabees (June 11), the Carolina Soul Band (June 18) and the Ultimate Rock Machine (June 28), which performs a retro rock and roll show. The Fat Jack Band (July 2) kicks off the Fourth of July weekend, followed by Southern Blue (July 9), the Castaways (July 16), The Deluge (July 23) and Hip Pocket (July 30).

The second half of the summer-long concert series includes Too Much Sylvia (Aug. 6), the Entertainers (Aug. 13), The Necessary Band (Aug. 20), The Fantastic Shakers (Aug. 27), Tastes Like Chicken (Sept. 3), Jim Quick & Coastline (Sept. 10), Tru Sol (Sept. 17), Envision (Sept. 24) and Marsha Morgan (Oct. 1).

Arrive early and enjoy some time shopping at the local stores and boutiques along Main Street, have dinner at one of the many downtown restaurants, or simply hit the beach and relax until show time. The concerts run from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., and are free and open to the public.
