Irish Italian International Festival

The Annual Irish Italian Festival is back by popular demand for the 12th year in a row. The event will be held on Saturday, September 26th, rain or shine. All festivities begin at 10:00 a.m. and will continue until 4:00 p.m. on Main Street in North Myrtle Beach.

Each year the festival brings in approximately 15,000 people to celebrate different cultures. It’s a wonderful event to gather with friends and family to learn new traditions practiced by others. There will be plenty of food served by local restaurants, so be sure to come hungry. Each restaurant will compete among one another to win different titles including Best Entrees, Best Decorated and Best Dessert.

During the day, there will be two stages for live entertainment, dance groups and street performers. Also, there will be plenty of art & craft vendors for those looking to find a few unique gifts to take home. There’s a children’s area that suits all ages with a variety of entertainment from magicians, balloon art and more.

All festival attendees have the opportunity to partake in the spaghetti eating competition. The competition kicks off at two p.m. and individuals can sign up between 10 a.m. and 1:45 p.m. The first person to clear their plate will be crowned the winner and receive a plaque designed by Coastal Engravers plus bragging rights. Do you think you are the next winner?
