What a Difference a Mile Makes Annual Walk
The GFWC North Myrtle Beach Woman's Club is a non-profit organization celebrating forty-nine years of service to our community. Fundraising efforts each year benefit many local charities. This year will be the 3rd annual walk to support victims of domestic violence, What a Difference a Mile Makes. The goal is to raise money and awareness on behalf of victims in need of help from spousal and or family abuse. The monies raised will be used to help these victims, their children, and possibly pets transition to a safer environment.
What a Difference a Mile Makes will take place on October 21, 2023, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the North Myrtle Beach Sports Complex. It will be a 1.1 mile walk around the lake near the amphitheater. Prior to the walk, the welcome will include notable speakers from the community, including a survivor of domestic violence. There will be a variety of food, beverage, and non-food trucks on hand for everyone's enjoyment.
Sponsorship opportunities are available for $250 and include a sign along the walk and 5 admission tickets. Checks may be sent to:
