B.I.G. Series for Leaders

Destination North Myrtle Beach is proud to announce we are launching a Leadership Program beginning in 2025. The title of this exciting new series is The B.I.G. (Business, Innovation, and Government) Series for Leaders which will run from March through November with a half day session on the first Thursday of each month. Each program will start with lunch followed by speakers consisting of local leaders to discuss leadership and to answer questions from the class. Each month will center on one of the three areas: Business, Innovation or Government. Field trips/facility tours will be included. We are thrilled to present this content-rich program for leaders of North Myrtle Beach!

The cost is $750 per person, and the class size will be limited. Applications will be accepted until February 3rd or until the class is full.

  • "How does NMB apply leadership through staff and elected officials?"

  • Panel of non-profits.
  • Have leaders talk about how they apply their leadership to board governance, fundraising, community development of relationships, etc. 
  • Advocacy as a topic for leaders following panel.

  • Education – HGTC and Horry County Schools – "How are they developing leaders for tomorrow and preparing a workforce for the future?"
  • Sports Coach and Music Director - "Value of sports and music in leadership development and what that looks like today in schools."
  • School leadership and clubs and how they prepare students, etc.

September 

  • State delegation come in and talk about leadership in Columbia as well as how businesses leaders can do locally to participate in the legislative process. 
  • County delegation come in and talk about regional leadership, how they work with the community, what leadership opportunities there are for NMB business leaders.

  • Have participants share how they are applying what they have learned. 
  • Personal Brands – how developing a personal style for leadership and brand can advance your influence.
