North Myrtle Beach Park and Sports Complex

Swing away in the batting cages, touch all the bases on the field, then take the dog for a walk. North Myrtle Beach (NMB) celebrates its outdoors, and North Myrtle Beach Park & Sports Complex is its crown jewel.

Explore and Enjoy

If you’re visiting North Myrtle Beach for a family reunion, the North Myrtle Beach Park & Sports Complex is a great place to bring everyone for a day of activities. Six picnic shelters can be reserved along with some of the sporting facilities so you have plenty of space for the gang to hang out. There are also three playgrounds for kids to burn off excess energy. If you’re solo, put on a helmet and swing away in the batting cage or explore the nature trails. It doesn’t matter how big your group is or what your skill level is, the NMB Park & Sports Complex is designed for everyone to enjoy.

Sprawling across 160 acres, there is something for anyone who enjoys being outside. Eight soccer/lacrosse fields join a half dozen baseball/softball fields. If you want to use your vacation to work on your swing, there are eight batting tunnels. Any of these will work up a sweat and get your competitive juices flowing.

The NMB Park & Sports Complex is also a place to relax and find a little peace. Bring a blanket and find a spot in the 10-acre meadow or along the 25-acre freshwater lake. The Lakeside Trail is a one-mile trail perfect for a jog to elevate your heart rate or a relaxing walk. Two other trails, the Carolina Bay Trail and the Meadow Trail, are each about a half-mile around different sections of the Sports Complex.

Shark Wake Park amps up the action inside the Sports Complex. You can go water skiing or tackle the water park's floating obstacle course that looks like something out of a reality competition show. It includes a five-tower, full-size cable wake park and is the tallest cable system in the country.

Dogs Allowed

And bring your pup! There are two Waggin’ Tails Dog Parks for your fur babies to enjoy their own vacation. There are separate areas for big dogs and smaller dogs under 25 pounds, and you may be asked to show proof of vaccinations.

Don’t forget to bring your beach chair or blanket and grab a seat in front of the amphitheater with your pups. Family-friendly bands put on the free Sounds of Summer concert series and you never know which other shows may pop up there while you’re visiting NMB.

Find A Place to Stay

There are several hotels near the NMB Park & Sports Complex so if you’re part of a big group or in town for a tournament, you can book a room close by so you spend less energy traveling and more energy having fun.
